We just want to say thank you so much for all the hard work and the lovely food you’ve been sending us, we really love it and enjoy it and it’s ever so healthy for all this hard work that we are doing. Thank you very much for supporting our welfare.
As a Liveryman, what has made me swell with pride is the way the Livery reacted to Covid-19 by launching the NHS Livery Kitchens Initiative to deliver 600 two-course fresh, free and quality meals per day to several Barts Health Trust Hospitals. Pure joy at the end of a long and dangerous shift in full PPE.
The Livery Companies and the City Corporation actively partner with our youth, whether this be through bursaries, career advice, or ‘just in time’ donations when it matters the most. This is a great display of our aligned commitments towards social mobility and creating equal opportunities.
Introduced to the history and workings of the square mile and all its intricacies nearly 10 years ago, I have ever increasing delight that there is still so much to learn, see and absorb, and of course share with others. Long may it continue.
I was honoured to serve as Master of my Livery Company and then as Sheriff where I learned that fellowship, support of the Lord Mayor and assistance to charity are paramount, championing and protecting all that we collectively value and share.
