The 16th Ezra Memorial Lecture 2021

15 September 2021 @ 5:45 pm - 8:45 pm

Free

The 16th Ezra Memorial Lecture will be held on Wednesday 15 September 2021 and is being given by our own Honorary Liveryman – and newly-elected Sheriff – Alderman Alison Gowman.

Alison, an elected member of the City of London Corporation, will be speaking in the context of her role as part of the leadership team in relation to COP26 and as non-executive director of the Green Finance Institute.

She will explore the background to COP26 and the role that the UK will undertake as the President this year. The aims of the UK in that role and its progress to date in the various initiatives to build coalitions and engagements across the financial sector. She will comment on the role of the City of London Corporation in this arena and its work with the Financial and related Professional Services businesses in the City to build a momentum and promote the City of London as a global hub for financing the transition to net zero.
